To celebrate the opening of the GlowingCross.net Weiss Kreuz Glühen fanfiction archive, WTF Productions is running a fanfiction contest. The subject of the contest is Kyou Aguri, one of the two new members of Weiss introduced in Glühen. Since fanfiction featuring Kyou has been nearly impossible to find, this contest offers a challenge for writers to explore his character - his past, his role in Weiss, or perhaps even a look into the person he could have been.
The winner of the contest will receive a custom-made Weiss Kreuz anime music video made by WTF Productions to the song of their choice, featuring the character (or pairing) of their choosing.
I'm fairly open about what sort of content can be submitted - everything from drabble to multi-chapter epics are accepted. All genres (drama, angst, comedy, parody, alternate timeline/ universe, etc.) are acceptable. Romance is optional, and I do not discriminate by pairing - yaoi or het, series character or Mary Sue, I'll read it all and judge it on its own merits. I do, however, have a few rules:
1) The purpose of this contest is to encourage fanfiction about Kyou Aguri. As such, there are no restraints on content, except that the fic should feature Kyou Aguri in a prominent role.
2) All submitted entries must be complete at time of submission. Previously written/posted fanfiction may be submitted, as long as it is complete at the time of submission.
3) Fics will be judged primarily for content, but excessive spelling/grammar errors will detract from the quality of the fic. Please use a beta reader or a careful spell/grammar-check program before submitting your fanfiction.
First prize for the contest is one official, custom-made Weiss Kreuz (any/all series) AMV done to the song and the character/pairing of the winner's choice, made by the vidding team WTF Productions. Song length is limited to five minutes, and winner must provide an mp3 of the song and lyrics for the purpose of making the video. The winner will receive a high-quality render of the AMV mailed to them, and a dedication to them in the video (if desired). Additionally, GlowingCross.net will host the video for download on the site for one month.

Additional prizes will depend on overall participation, and what sort of goodies I come across before the end of the contest. All entrants will receive a VCD or CD-R of WTF Productions anime music videos in the mail.
