Submission Guidelines

GlowingCross.Net exists for the promotion of Weiss Kreuz Gluhen-based/inspired fanfiction and fanart. I am always on the lookout for new fanfiction to add to the archive, and I gladly accept submissions, with the caveat that I reserve the right to make the final decision on whether or not a fanfiction will be archived on this website. Likewise, if at any point in time an archived writer or artist would like any or all of their work(s) removed from the site, they need only inform me by email and I will comply.

Fanfiction Submission Guidelines

1. All varieties of fanfiction are welcome. I do not discriminate by pairing, genre, storyline, or rating. The only set in stone requirement is that the fanfic relates to Gluhen in some manner. Pre-Gluhen (post-Dramatic Precious), post-Gluhen, and Side B fics are all welcome, as are Alternate Universe/Alternate Timeline, so long as the relationship and "feel" of Gluhen is retained in the story. Not sure about it? Email me and I'll give it a read-through and let you know.

2. Submitted fanfiction is expected to be relatively free of typos, spelling errors, and grammar mistakes. The story should have at the very least been run through a simple spellchecker, though a beta reader would be preferable, for catching things a computer won't find, like misused homophones. While I don't have the time to beta read everyone's fanfiction that is submitted, if you email me about it, I can try to set you up with a beta reader for your fanfiction.

3. Character bastardization is an ugly thing, and it's one of the few things I generally won't accept in fanfiction without a good justification backing it. While everyone's interpretation of the characters and their actions may be different, please keep in mind that if a character is acting especially out of character to the way they're portrayed in the series, there ought to be a good justification behind it - at least something more than just "I hate the character and I needed a bad guy." I haven't had much trouble with this point so far with Gluhen fanfiction, but it's rampant in most fandoms I've been in, and I figured I'd mention it ahead of time.

4. Fics submitted to the archive should include the following information:

Title
Author - preferred penname, and email address to be listed with fanfic
Rating - G, PG, PG-13, R, or NC-17. If your fanfic contains a lemon, it must be rated NC-17. Please use common sense in rating your fics; if your fanfiction is submitted without a rating, I will give it an appropriate rating. Additionally, if I think the rating is too low, I will increase it - but generally, I tend to trust the rating most people place on their fanfics.
Pairing(s) - Surprise pairings are acceptable. Please let me know whether you'd like the revealed pairing to be listed on under the pairing heading on the Fanfiction By Pairing page, or if you'd rather it was listed in the 'No Pairing/Pairing yet to be specified' section.
Warning(s) - Spoiler warnings, as appropriate; also, content warnings for sex, death, strong language, kink, disturbing content, or anything else that you think might warrant a warning. Please be responsible about your warnings; I'd rather you go overboard with warnings, than have someone accidentally read something they couldn't handle.
Summary - Just a one or two sentence summary about the fanfic to interest/entice the reader into reading more.
Disclaimer - If you have a disclaimer you want to go with the fic, go ahead. Otherwise, I'll slap the site's generic disclaimer on it.

Status of fanfic - one-shot? complete? ongoing?

You can send me a link to the fanfic (preferable), or attach a Word document to your email containing it. If you would prefer your fic to just be linked off-site (rather than archived), please specify that in the email as well.

Fanart Submission Guidelines

1. All fanart submissions should in some way be related to Weiss Kreuz Gluhen. There are two exceptions I will accept: fanart of Gluhen anime scenes drawn with the Kapitel character designs, and fanart for any fanfiction that is hosted on Glowing Cross.

2. Fanart submitted to the site should include the following information:

Title
Artist - Your penname (for lack of a better term), and an email address for folks to send feedback. If you'd prefer no email listed, please let me know.
URL - Where folks can go if they'd like to see more of your work (optional)
Rating - G, PG, PG-13, R, or NC-17. General guidelines: bare butts are R, exposed genitalia, sexual acts, and/or anything involving kink are NC-17, and the rest I leave to the discretion of the fanartist. If I personally think the rating is too low, I will raise it. NC-17 fanart will be linked from the main fanart page to a separate off-site page for NC-17 fanart only, with a warning page in between, due to TOS reasons - this is to cover both my butt and yours, avoid art censorship, and keep Glowing Cross in compliance with my service provider's Terms Of Service.
Fanart for - If your submission is fanart for a particular fanfiction on Glowing Cross, indicate it here and I'll link to the story/scene here. On the fanfiction pages I will likewise link back to the fanart. (optional)

3. Fanart submissions should be emailed to the kasra_c@yahoo.com, though please email me first if you'll be attaching a large file, just in case I'm running up against my disk quota. ^_^;
